My name is Holly Luckes, and I’m a makeup artist in Min­neapolis, MN. At the ten­der age of four, my mother handed me a shoe­box full of her old makeup to play dress up with. Ever since then I’ve spent most of my life devoted to the world of makeup artistry. I enjoy bring­ing con­fi­dence and joy to my clients; help­ing some­one feel their best by look­ing their best is the most won­der­ful feel­ing in the world. I also love how makeup can trans­form some­one into some­thing beau­ti­ful, funny, or even hor­ri­fy­ing. And when it’s all over, sim­ply wash it away and cre­ate some­thing new again. With makeup, the pos­si­bil­i­ties are endless.

After gain­ing pro­fes­sional expe­ri­ence between 1997 and 2000 in the retail cos­met­ics set­ting, I decided to make makeup more than just a job or hobby; I chose to make it my career.
